Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiac Electrophysiology team in Santa Rosa, California. This exciting opportunity supports a specialized Atrial Fibrillation Clinic and includes involvement in clinical research, working alongside leading electrophysiologists committed to advancing arrhythmia care.

 

About the Opportunity

As part of a comprehensive cardiac electrophysiology program, you’ll play a vital role in managing patients with atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias. The position is exclusively outpatient-focused, with a strong emphasis on patient education, longitudinal care, and participation in ongoing research initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide patient care in the outpatient setting, including initial consultations, follow-up visits, and chronic disease management

· Assist with coordination of electrophysiology procedures and peri-procedural care

· Conduct telehealth visits and manage patient communications via the Epic platform

· Participate in clinical research activities, including patient enrollment, data collection, and coordination with research teams

· Collaborate with electrophysiologists and cardiology teams to ensure continuity and quality of care

· Educate patients and families on atrial fibrillation, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications

· Contribute to quality improvement and patient experience initiatives

Qualifications

Education:

· Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program


Licensure & Certifications:

· Current California NP or PA license

· DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (CSRC)

· Current BLS certification

· Current ACLS certification

· Additional certifications as required by department


Experience:

· Prior experience in cardiology, electrophysiology, or internal medicine preferred

· New graduates with a strong interest in cardiac arrhythmia care and research are encouraged to apply
