Opportunity Information

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a supplemental (part time) Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their dynamic Walk-In Care team in Roseville, CA

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with minor acute illnesses and injuries, following established clinical protocols.
  • Provide preventive health services such as immunizations (including flu and COVID‑19) and wellness screenings.
  • Conduct sport and camp physicals.
  • Perform diagnostic exams and manage treatment plans for conditions such as colds, sinus or ear infections, UTIs (12+ female), sprains, rashes, poison oak, insect bites, eczema, and acne.
  • Educate patients on self-care and when escalation of care is needed.
  • Utilize Epic EHR and deliver After‑Visit Summaries; coordinate follow-up and updates with referring clinicians or primary care providers, especially within the Sutter network.
  • Maintain compliance with Sutter Walk‑In Care protocols, under oversight of a medical director.

Qualifications

  • Valid California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care, urgent care, family medicine, or similar setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced walk‑in clinic environment.
  • Experience using Epic or similar EHR a plus.
